I agree it looks quite deep but the plans only show it as having one level of underground parking, 39 spaces, so I don't think so.

New signage on the hoarding identifies this development as "The Johnathon" (sic)

^Adding to that it is being built by RC Jane Management. They recently built The Edison on Dutch Village/Westerwald. That building turned out nice so here's to hoping this has that level of quality or better.

Does anyone know what companies usually carry out these deep, mostly rock excavations?

Usually it's the familiar heavy civil companies: Dexter, ARCP (Atlantic Road Construction and Paving), Brycon, Kynock, Allterrain.
