I found this interesting. This is a photo Renarch99 took and posted on his recent North Philly abandoned school photo thread. Oh yeah, Temple U adding to the skyline, oh yeah.
I have to say, I'm not a fan of the white paneling. It reminds me of the worst of Wachmann and Weiss Halls.
Also, the building's east façade is being decked out in white paneling across from the emergency stairwell...So the corner dorms won't even be able to enjoy the corner, uh, views. Necessary from a practical standpoint, I suppose (they do really stuff beds in those rooms) but still rather less pleasant in profile than I was hoping for.
Highrise dorms eh... They're gonna have a lot of fun walking down those 27 floors during fire drills when someone burns popcorn in the communal microwave on the 10th floor at 3 AM.

Haha. Still... the views of the city the residents living on the south side will have will make it all worth it... Wish I was going to be a freshman at Temple just so I could live in that building.

I know I've asked this question before but nobody seemed to answer it directly: does anybody know whether the taller floors (with best views) will be priced higher than the lower ones? I know this is rare with college dorms, but considering this exceptional project maybe Temple decided to recoup some cost?
