Thanks PhotoLith, Glowrock.

The town is Fort MacLeod Alberta. Very small, but it is filled to the brim with cool historic buildings. Apparently the exterior town scenes in Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain were filmed there...I've not seen the movie.

Anyway, I was through that way again on Friday, and decided to spend the night. A few more shots:

One of the best places to get your drink on in Houston, that's for sure! Also a place where I was known to acquire $2 (!!) Chimay Blue on occasion!

Sure are and with the 14-24. I have so much more control over my camera now and the white balance is much more accurate than the d200. Full frame really does make a huge difference, there's just so much more detail. Now I have to work on marketing myself to get more jobs with my photography. I hope to one day make a living through photography. I'm making some extra money now from it but not enough to live off of comfortably. Thanks for the compliments too.

@Bulliver: Excellent shots of Ft. MacLeod. I've only drove through the town, but it definitely looks like it has some nice old prairie charm. Maybe I've looked in the wrong spots, but there seems to be a lot less of those sorts of towns in Central and Northern Alberta.

@Photolith and @DarnSacramentan: Great shots!
