What else is opening in Harmon Corner? Surely not just a Walgreens.

Was in Vegas last weekend. A buddy works over at MGM and was telling us about the new club going in, starts with an H. He couldn't believe it was going to be $20mil to make. He also was mentioned how the entire bottom floor going from the casino to the parking lot was going to be turned into bars/clubs and completely changed.

He also mentioned how he had a chance to work at either the Cosmo or MGM when he switched jobs, and said he didn't think the Cosmo in its current state would last much longer.

With that, we had some really awesome hookups and had a good time. I think we were all surprised how dead everything was. He was even surprised as he said MGM was 100% booked and he thought the clubs would be crazy because the Adult awards were in town. We left super early Monday morning, Chinese New year, and maybe everyone was sleeping waiting to come out and play on the Monday.

Right now a Panda Express and a gift shop store are open. I heard a McDonalds was going in but didn't see any evidence of that. They are working on a few other stores but they are not open and I don't remember the names. Looked like clothing type stores.

You'll be able to enter Walgreens on the ground level or the second level where the street crossovers pass through.

Yeah, saw that this weekend. Although I think taking the stairs down to LV Blvd is much quicker instead of walking through that new building to the escalators. My question is more aimed at what is going in on the upper floors? Right now part of it is covered with an American flag poster, and the rest is just empty.

The habitable space is only 3 floors, 17 shops total. The flag is where the LED sign is supposed to be, nothing will be behind that.

A Few Construction Updates

These may be old news to some us, but since I haven't seen much written about these projects here, I thought I post them. Both of these projects are well under way:

CityCenter Freeway Sign:

The hideous CityCenter freeway sign is being remodeled:

Golden Gate Expansion:

I drove by this and the steel structure looks very close to finished.

Sorry, no current pictures.

Did you read the article? It's on Sahara Ave, just west of the strip (towards I-15), next to the Alure condo tower (that bldg in the back ground).

Yeah, the High Roller ferris wheel will be back behind the casinos. The Linq will run from the Strip back to the High Roller. There obviously won't be a new monorail station, since it's being built between the IP and Flamingo, which each already have a monorail station, but I agree it would be really great if you could get to one or both of those stations from the east end of the Linq, instead of having to go through the casinos.

Haven't seen anything that mentions it yet though.

Thank you for the great update. These new buildings would be amazing additions to any city. They really are a thing of beauty.
