I did notice the screen looked to be a bit too low. Maybe they can fix it for next game.

The boom shots on TV were awesome though!

Not sure when it started but he went down at one point and looked to be in pain but quickly pulled himself off the ice as it was near the Jets bench. Pretty sure it was in the second period. After that he was definitely being targeted for extra physical contact anytime he was on the ice.

I think there are A LOT of shoulder injuries that linger or are ongoing concerns in hockey.

I have ongoing shoulder pains from old undiagnosed injuries that linger. Even when lifting really heavy things it gets tweaked.

Now that the extra hard hitting playoff are here, I bet there are a lot of injured bodies out there just waiting for a tweak. Read Scheifele...

^The players usually get better rehab than the people like you or me. With your shoulder I'd suggest seeing a doctor and perhaps getting some physio with some deep tissue work to remove any scar tissue that more than likely is hanging around and causing your shoulder to hurt every now and then.

Any win is a good one, but Dubnyk appears to be fairly sharp. Winnipeg's goaltending needs to be on or this is going to be closer than it should be. Coming back from 2-1 for a 3-2 victory isn't generally a recipe for long term success.

Perrault has been injury prone in the past, and he isn't a big guy. It's not a big loss if Roslovic moves on to that line and plays the way he has been. Little and Roslovic have some chemistry.

If Donald between Portage and Graham is too small for the Jets party, how will TNS fit enough people? I can't imagine it being bigger than that stretch and the parking lot they are taking up now. The forks might be the best place to host these in the future.

I suspect they want to control the number of people in on the party... the optics of a party are nice and it's not like doubling the crowd would make the optics twice as good. At the end of the day someone has to pay for everything involved... in all likelihood no one wants to deal with the costs/risks of having a party with, say, 30,000 people there.

@EDWinnipeg
We have some exciting news about the #WPGWhiteout Street party! Follow along as we announce some of the changes for Friday’s @NHLJets game.

1. We’ve changed the start time of Friday’s #WPGWhiteout Street party. Gates will now open at 4:30pm.

2. The party's getting bigger! The #WPGWhiteout Street Party will expand southward on Donald Street, one block further to St. Mary Avenue.

3. We're adding a new family-friendly alcohol-free zone at Millennium Library Park, where young families can watch the game live in a more relaxed setting. #WPGWhiteout

4. An additional viewing screen is being added on Donald Street, south of Graham Avenue, and another screen will be at Millennium Library Park. This brings the total number of viewing screens at the Street Party to four. #WPGWhiteout

5. We’re increasing the number of vendors on site at #WPGWhiteout Street party.

Carlton could be closed to handle the spillover from the square.

I'm glad they are making a family zone to keep kids away from the party tomorrow. It will likely be more rambunctious on a Friday night.

Yes, I think this is a great idea.

Someone I know was at the street party and spoke to police officers there. Apparently the organizers have permission to block off Donald all the way to Broadway if needed.

Probably going to need that if they go the the conference or Stanley cup finals

How much are the drinks there? The jets could be making stupid amounts of money from people who aren't even in the building.

Heh, it's probably not likely. I admit the party kind of looked like fun, but the lure of my couch is still very strong!

That's a pretty impressive and rapid response to issues from the City. Kudos.

Im impressed with the numbers for the party especially with the poor weather.

If the Jets' march continues and we get into 15-20 degrees, its going to be something!

Who foots the bill for this, True North? And does True North control the vendors (get a cut, sell the booze themselves etc)? Just curious...

I wonder how well the Away Game party inside BellMTS Place will do.

I think it's spearheaded by Economic Development Winnipeg. They had said it hopes to recoup all costs through sales of liquor, food, etc.

I'm sure the City is on the hook for costs of police, at the least.
