Nice photo tour of the Baton Rouge CBD. It's been on an upward swing, but still has a long way to go as far as nightlife vibrancy goes. Then again, most of that takes place down around LSU.

Not bad for a first timer. Probably the best Baton Rouge thread I've seen in terms of giving me a feel for downtown. I particularly like this shot; great perspective and framing:

That seemed refined to me. Great shots, particularliy towards the end of the tour. How'd you manage to make it look like you were the only person downtown?

Thanks for the recent comments! As far as where the people are... its funny, living in Chicago my whole life I got used to walking places, like for lunch during the day. When I started working in Baton Rouge (not downtown, granted), I took a walk to lunch one day, just a few blocks away. When I got back, my co-workers were like, "what in the hell were you doing walking?" They couldn't believe anyone would walk instead of drive. It's not a terribly pedestrian or bike friendly area in general, and I guess with the heat, people don't bother.

Maybe one of these days I'll work up the nerve to post some sets from other parts of Baton Rouge. Thanks again for the comments!

They say bistreaux. You say bistreau. I say bistro.
