A win-win situation ought to be reached by keeping the house as either a museum or some sort of cultural institution and integrating it with a large developement that would include retail / restaurants / bars on the stree level and massive towers into the air. 40 floors sounds good, but should be a minimum.

THats what I'm talkin about. Great post Martin mtl!

I think that one thing Montreal needs based on these projects: less yellow brick, more glass!! Though I am a fan of that black brick!

Castelneau looks much more impressive in person ,the location is great, it's next to Jarry park, has a metro station diectly across, and it's walking distance from the Jean-Talon market. But more importantly it's a safe distance from the animals of downtown, I swear to god they should declare martial law around the area of Berri metro, those savages are even attacking the poor gay people who live there ,the local merchants are begging our useless police force to do something anything (which of course falls on deaf ears)

Excellent travail Martin Mtl!

- 366 Mayor (conversion)
- Southam Lofts
- Condos Dell'Arte
- Château Maplewood
- Griffix
- Carré de la Montagne
- Viva Lofts
- Le Sofia
- Le courant
- Waldman
- Forest Hill

Et désolé, pas de photos...

It is simply awful. The architect should be hunted down and shot.

Thanks for the renders Martin Mtl! There are a lot of attractive projects going up.

Although Condos Dell'Arte is horrible.

Here are some photos of the dismantling of the building at the corner of Peel and Wellington where the 20-floor Griffix is supposed to go up.

This not the final design for this project.

As long as its better than that "thing".

Regardless, this project gets the much coveted "Rommheim seal of approval" because of density and the fuckin' retail on the first floor.

I agree with Rommheim, a step in the right direction for this area and the building it's replacing wasn't exactly a priceless heritage site. Dell'arte isn't my favorite, but I don't dislike it anywhere near as much as Platopolis *Vom*

That said, I really like the render of the new soccer complex.
