Yep - especially from LSD it is clearing the cliff wall's plateau, and is becoming its own point of prominence.

How is the construction elevator going to work?

Wait, nevermind, I figured it out. They set the elevator to the farthest projecting floorplate and will then use a "gangplank" to the more recessed floors.

Man, construction is complicated.

I think this is the best place to ask this but is the proposal for Buckingham II now dead? I notice especially in the pictures of the model of that block how empty that empty lot will appear now. I would love to see it go up as it would be so nice to complete that FULL block.

Great new pic updates though, this is coming along pretty quickly!

Climbing scaffolding (2 rigs side by side) one will stop at the first setback.

Lifts itself up on the slotted columns.

Pump for hydrolics - the pair can be moved from one rig to to the other.

That dark-grey precast is kinda elegant.

LOL, everyone has their own opinion. If it was polished and shiny...or at the very least texture with thin reveals or patterns, I might agree. But dark, drab, and huge...looks pretty awful. Thankfully it will be covered up at some point.

I like it, too. And from the model, it looks like the windowless slab everyone feared on the building's north elevation actually is fenestrated. Unless the model isn't accurate I guess? I'm assuming they'll be using precast for that portion, too, which means this building will be a great example of how precast should be used.

There's a setback from the lot line, which allows Roosevelt to have a small percentage of the facade as windows. The larger setback at the ~16th floor (where the residential begins) allows for even more windows.

I agree. I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

^^ Damn that's a gorgeous shot. I forget just how beautiful the city is sometimes.

This tower is definitely in a good spot to make an impression.

From a kite, apparently. I'm just amazed the wind was steady enough to hold the kite aloft but still get a clear image.

That's the shot I've been waiting for! Can't wait to see the cladding on this one.
