This. Tour Montparnasse is a great example of a tower for the time in which it was built. They need to leave the exterior largely alone. It's vertical lines are beautiful and what makes it.

It's not only about how things look, but also how they work. The cladding of that tower is outdated and must be changed. Even old stone has to be replaced from time to time.

Guess they could've picked something that would be true to the original design and look the same, if it hadn't been disparaged by a majority of locals.

^ There are still some holes to fill in along the sidewalk on the right, and unfortunately, the feet of older towers remain anti-urban.

Otherwise, it's potentially massive. Alto and M2/Saint-Gobain (U/C on the left, 1st pic) are so important to complete the ridiculous density along. Trinity is also major to enhance the urban feel a few hundreds yards farther.

This is likely to be the biggest high-rise boulevard over the continent. I assume it's going to be walled all along like a massive canyon.

The white tower on the right is tour Pleyel, built 1972. It might be refurbished on that occasion.

I think Saint-Denis's supposed to host the Olympic village in 2024, that's a great opportunity for the locals of the surrounding municipalities.

Large project here. They're talking about 200k m2 in all, over 2 million sq. Hopefully all of this is mixed-use and done by then.
6 long years to make it, the local economy's doing slightly better right now... Yeah, we surely can afford that over there.

Seems fairly ambitious and mixed-use.
There's a bit of everything in the contents.
Housing, including some for students, offices, hotels, retail, sport and entertainment facilities.

The neighborhood will be well served by the transit network.

Meh. There's a load of Roman Catholic buildings like this in town.

I agree with the Franciscans. The Roman church is still far too wealthy, which is an evidence of its flaws.
When you're supposed to advertise Jesus, you need to be fair.
So they should give most of what they have to contemporary development and technology instead of paying for 5000 sq ft luxury suites downright in the very center of Rome to spoil their suspect greedy archbishops and cardinals. I think the current pope would agree on that point, then he's got some fierce enemies.

When I was in the Central City, this was the nearby church of the social-democratic neighborhood.

it's more humble, even a bit decaying. Some statues are broken, which is disturbing and annoying.

What 10k jobs? Laughable. We're like 67 million starving people over the Republic!

Hopefully, these are 10k guys of the financial industry that would be enlightened and wise, so they have big balls to take risk and know where to allocate money, to make more and more tomorrow.

I'm sure you're aware of the related news, the European Banking Authority's moving to Paris. They're going to the historic stock exchange district.
