I wouldn't want it any taller in that view. It would block out more of Commerce Court West giving the impression of a table top wall.

Damn. YC is rising too quickly.

It does go up higher, just on the side that's not shown in that pic.

Yeah, there's a nice layering effect going on right now. Any taller might ruin that with a tabletop and block a few towers from view.

Teahouse Condo - 175 meters

I was out at the site today, and look what I found.

A subway tunnel. How cool is that to tell your guest , there is a subway directly underneath them?

E Condo - 196 meters

Big Things Happening at Yonge and Egg. Most exciting for me is the LRT, and they still haven't extracted the tunnel boring machines yet. Also interesting a few biggish towers around 190 meters. This one and the other one they are building on the south side of the intersection.

The Montreal tower would have been perfect on King West. The towers we are getting in its place are not so interesting.

Quantity is good, but it would be nice to get a few nice/quality towers thrown in the mix as well.

Otherwise, we'll just end up being known as the Bangkok of North America.

Toronto is not nearly fun enough for that moniker.

L'Avenue is hardly quality. It's about the same as those towers.

I've never been to Bangkok but, I think you couldn't pick a city that's more the opposite of Toronto.

It's kind of like a knock off of The Ritz Tower but not that bad. It's an interesting design but I also wouldn't go calling it quality. I would have preferred the original design for King Blue however.
