Winnipeg - Day 5 - CMHR and something dirty

A final day/night of exploration to end my week at the IDA conference. A very appropriate day of grey/rain/somber weather to head on over to the brand new and stunning Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

Learn more, go visit:

Amazing stuff.

As luck would have it, the VIA Rail Canadian was at Union Station.

CBD

The Fort Gary

True North Square going up in the distance.

I love me structure

Mmmm brisket

A movie shoot was being set up to showcase a Christmas scene.

An outdoor climbing wall!

Thunderbird

I had no idea that there was a CP station on the other side of town. Sad to see it in such poor shape.

Something dirty to cap the night at the graceful Fort Gary Hotel.

Thanks again for the great week Winnipeg, keep on doing what you are doing.

I just sifted through all your albums, and I have to say, these are amazing photos! Glad you enjoyed your stay in our humble city.

Someone mentioned in one of your other posts that our Exchange District has rapidly changed in the past couple years. Give us another 2 years, and we truly have something very unique that no other city has. As of this moment though, the changes are already here.

Come back soon!

Merci beaucoup.

I certainly look-forward to a trip back in a few years to see the changes. Would love to take in a Jets/Bombers game.

Hmm... they don't usually play each other but it is an interesting idea.

Great photos. Downtown has come a long way in the past 20 years.
