63 people a day move to Raleigh's Wake County, which surpassed 1 million residents last year.

They are throwing these residential developments up everywhere as fast as they can.




The Dillon, a 18 floor mixed-use is going up here. Preserving the facade of the old warehouse building.

great thread. all i have ever done is pass through but it certainly seems well worth visiting.

andy would be surprized if he went up there today.

At first I thought this thread included Oak City, NC which is perhaps one of the most obscure places I've ever visited in the US



I wasn't disappointed, though... Raleigh on its own is pretty sweet!

Haven't been to Raleigh in many years (have been to Durham more recently). Last time I was in Raleigh, we went to a place called the 42nd St Cafe several times. That would have been in the early 90s.
