300 South Tryon construction progress

Stonewall Station started construction and to the right is the Museum Tower - 31 story Childress Klein Apartments. The crane to the left is for the office tower for 615 South College.

Here you can see three 20+ and 30+ towers under construction in one shot: Far left is 300 South Tryon elevator core getting above ground, in the middle is the Museum Tower about to top out, and on the right is Accent.

Also, phase two of the streetcar line is scheduled to begin construction later this year. The new sections will open in 2019, adding 11 additional stops and extending the line to 4 miles. They will also get new light, modern streetcars (they are currently using the heritage streetcars on the starter line that the city already owned).

I visited Charlotte this last week and took a few pictures from Romare Bearden Park and I have to say, you guys have a highly underrated skyline!

New rendering of the hotel that is going up adjacent to the 300 South Tryon tower under construction. The hotel will overlook Bearden Park. It's also cool to see how big a gap in the skyline will be filled by 300 South Tryon:

1000 South Tryon has been cancel 2-21-2016

Tryon Place, reliable sources are saying it's still on track, just that's it a complicated project and complicated projects take time. They are supposedly comfortable with the prospect of going spec. I don't think it's spec, I think they have a tenant . Only reason they'd increase to 36 floors.

Wow, Charlotte is on a roll right now. There are a lot of nice looking towers going up.
