^Thanks for that. Here's a shot from the last page of the brochure just to refresh people's memories.

This inspired me to take a look at Barton West between Bay and Tiffany in google maps between 2009 and 2012. Depressing. Really hope this all gets built or that was all a giant waste.

So what's being proposed at Stuart and Tiffany based on the image above? Appears to be six buildings in total.

^I guess they didn't want the architecture to be too monotonous. Dunno...

Pretty overpriced units. They realize this isn't Toronto, right?

... and that the area is still surrounded in brownfields, a few industries and an active train yard.

This is a weird development. I like the density, but I'm not a fan of how it looks.

It's very unique at least. As long as they don't use white spandrel or aluminum siding it should make an interesting landmark.

I like the mix of building shapes. It almost appears as a few separate developments rather than a monolithic blockbuster (helped in part from unusual lot shape).

The roof shapes of the office/commercial buildings are strange though. Not likely they'll look like that when built.

All this needs now is a bit of colour! It's unfortunate they're going for this ugly monochrome chic that seems trendy in decor now.

I'm all for solar panels, but they sure make the building look ugly IMO, in this new video (if that's what's on the roof)

I dunno, watching that video gives me a real 'Welcome to 1992' vibe. And what's with that 'Tiffany Square' font? More like 1952. Not only that but it seems grotesquely out of scale with the rest of the neighbourhood. Not too hot on this proposal...

Was watching that video when... wait, is that...? Zoolander.......? In other news the new design is fine (though I favoured the old one) except for the weird peaked solar roof thing they have happening. I'm not really sure what to think about the aesthetics of that, but hey renewable energy.

I really don't know what to say here. This condo project has been like seven years in the planning phase and frankly I'm getting annoyed. Part of me is demanding that something - anything at this point gets built and soon, but on the other hand if it's been this much time and controversy just settling on a plan I can only imagine how horrid the building process and even the final product will be. I guess to the developers I wish them a very much needed "good luck"

More white for central Hamilton.

Not sure what I feel about this, including the angular solar-panel roof, but I feel they could have gone more creative with this proposal.

However, I do want to see it happen... finally.

Well, it got a solid downgrade of design, so maybe that's a sign it'll happen?
