Heh, sounds familiar. Maybe the upstairs will be closed for the first few months, too. ;-)

LOL too funny.

Seriously though, the turn around on this project from demolition to almost completion has been impressive. If this was a government managed project,..(add witty statement here).

Kind of seems fitting that the shortest turnaround for a project in Hamilton is a Tim Hortons.

No, they are staying in Oakville. Especially now that Burger King and Tim Hortons has merged.

It would be nice to see more Hamilton generated businesses retain their head offices in Hamilton or the in the downtown core.

ie: Tim Horton's, Pioneer and Dofasco (offices on Burl St).

First Ontario Credit Union's new building is almost completed off QEW in Stoney Creek and it looks great - would have been a huge boost to have that building in downtown Hamilton instead.

Ya know, that looks MUCH better than I thought it would. I like that they included a big picture of how the store originally looked.

I think a Hortons like this would look great downtown. In fact, I'd like to see a lot of the empty lots downtown filled with store-fronts like this.

This format of store could work perfectly for the Tims at John and Jackson, as well as by Hess and King

It's missing yellow. Definitely needs yellow. And that big, rotating sign.

What an awesome idea and awesome looking building.

That Timmy's has been neglected for so long, which was annoying considering it was the first. Finally gets the respect it deserves.

I hope they keep refining the idea and don't just let it 'rot' for lack of a better word- I can't see all of the history on display, but I'd hope they have more than a few glass cases of stuff.
