I came back from a walk around False Creek today and the new steps were open for all the Whitecaps game attendees. Far from finished yet but I was impressed with the amount of covered space.
I use this entrance to get into the games as well and last month my seat mate told me that this space would be an ideal space for a bomb. It's a tight space that is fully enclosed that gets really busy.
Fear mongering gets us nowhere. There's oodles of confined often heavily populated outdoor spaces in Vancouver. Just look at the covered concession/retail/restaurant area at ground level at Broadway/Commercial station. We can't start re-designing everything because of this present day anomaly.

Interesting to see a few people's vehement dislike for the building and its glass. Wonder what the general consensus is. I know my wife finds the glass reflects the sun too harshly as she walks by - it is a bit intense at certain times of the day, but that's a practical aspect, not aesthetic.
