lol fair enough. It's going to go up quicker than normal because the foundation is already done

But I just enjoy seeing cranes in the skyline haha

TNS towers 3&4 will probably be under construction as well, so should make for a nice vibe downtown. There's been a pretty consistent stream of cranes downtown though, for a decade or so. From Hydro to TNS...it's been a nice, steady stream of new skyline contributions however big or small

Don't forget the one on Sherbrook (not a tower crane) and what should go up for the next UoW building.

It couldn't possibly take that long to erect the frame and shell, however. Could it?

Finishes take the most time. Not the structure

It's sort of like seeing McDonald's everywhere - not a big deal really. I just wish we had an opportunity to see the Artis logo up top for a longer period of time following installation of the new curtain wall around the building.

Crappy pic, but in person it looks like and LED panel, but could be wrong.

It's definitely LED, they don't really make signs any other way anymore.

Delays and more delays. Whatever crane they are planning to set up is now being set up on the 12th instead of the 9th.

That's it, let's just cancel the project.

A panel of that size would eventually run the risk of fasteners giving out or it cracking and pieces falling down.
Just one more reason I preferred the original TD signage on 201 Portage as opposed to the box signage on 360 Main.

This sign is probably double the size of both the original and boxed TD logos that were on 201 – likely because there just wasn't much space up on 201 where they put the signs.

@brent_bellamy: Early this week a new crane is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg’s skyline - to construct 300 Main Street, a 42 storey apartment tower. It will be Winnipeg’s tallest building - the 8th building to hold that title since 1900.

^here’s hoping 300 main doesn’t hold the title anywhere as long as the previous 3 champs
