PORTLAND | Park Avenue West | 502 FT / 153 M | 30 FLOORS

Park Avenue West (PAW)

This 33 story tower in downtown Portland is being developed by Tom Moyer's TMT Development. Moyer spearheaded Portland's newest office tower the Fox Tower, which was completed in 2001. It will by Portland's third tallest tower at 525 feet including the spire. The 474,000 square foot tower, which contains retail on floors the first three floors, office space on the lower half, and 74 housing units on the upper half, is expected to begin construction in march 2008 after demolition on the block takes place. There will be 320 underground parking spaces in five underground levels. The garage will be connected to the six floors of underground parking under Portland's newest park, Park Block 5, and to the underground portion of Moyer's Fox Tower. TVA architects will be designing the building. The crown and spire of the building is expected to be lit at night, possibly with LEDs.

^^^ I hope that its those low, crappy looking things in the middle, not the one to the right, that brick one has character and class and is not the kind of building that should be demolished!

I'm liking this design though the spire looks a little tacked on.

I hope the go with a much more transparent glass. Would be nice to have a tower that doesnt have reflective glass in Portland.

This is very exciting. I feel like another 500-footer in Portland is one step closer to a new tallest one day. Portland really is a gorgeous city.

That base is really interesting, it's incredibly hollow. There's no core, just a small elevator bank? I didn't know they could do that.

Maybe it's like the World Trade Center where the structural support is in the walls?

Wow, what a beauty. I really like this one. Good form and will look quite nice in the skyline. I agree it would be better a little taller.

Fantastic building, sleek modern design. The spire looks more like an antenna, but it fits.
