^It's been 6+ years since I last visited HN.

So HN's going to have a skytrain and a subway? That's amazing. I never thought I'd see the day.

I'm Canadian but I've been in and out of SE Asia for the last 12+ years. During that time, I lived in HCMC for about 6 years. I recently accepted a job at a university in HCMC, so I'll be returning shortly for another stint. Looking forward to it!

thanks for the photos!

@ uh... Dr. Awesomesauce, what school will you be at? Are you an English teacher? just curious... I'm a fellow Canadian, likewise in and out of Vietnam over the last 6 years. I'll probably be in Hanoi for a month or so in January.

@Abelard

RMIT University (Australia) has campuses in both HCMC and HN. I'm at the Saigon South campus in HCMC.

I'm a high school teacher but I've got all my English language certifications as well (CELTA, DELTA and part of a Master's). They do, however, hire all kinds: teachers fresh off the CELTA; experienced teachers with DELTA's and Master's; older types with high school certification and so on. Give it a go if you're thinking of coming back.

@KoolKool

Nice to meet you, fellow Canadian. You ought to come back for a visit. You never know, you might like it!

@Abelard

BTW, if you have any questions about teaching English in HCMC or even HN just let me know - I could give you a little advice.
