Looking forward to the 1,100 foot observation deck. A couple nearby as well, like Tower Fifth. The amount of observation decks by 2025 will be quite pronounced. One can theoretically spend a whole day bouncing between all of the towers and soaking in the views.
I know it sounds cliche, but two things that if one visits NYC, are worth the money. One being observation decks, and the second being the tour buses (upper level of the bus). On a clear day, with nice weather, no better way to see the insane crowds and bustling nature of the city via the top-level of one of those buses and the routes will allow you to see decades upon decades of rich, architectural history.
If one has the money, the helicopter tour is mind blowing. Sure it might be 15-25 minute depending on which one you get, but any true urban fan should do the helicopter tours.
NYC is best enjoyed via the air or above sea level. It really is a fuckin addicting city, pardon my Swahili. And will keep you coming back and back again. Its the Heroin of cities. Once you get a taste, you want more. Just avoid driving in it, because it will numb your mind to the point where your ego dies, and you question your sanity. Traffic aside, its quite a nice town to walk in.
