It seems the penthouse for this guy sold over the olympics... some visitor with deep pockets.

$22.3Million has to be pretty close to a Canadian record.

The 2010 Olympic Winter Games were solid gold for a Vancouver-based real estate developer specializing in luxury suites.

Aspac Developments says it sold $31.8 million in high-end units to people visiting Vancouver for the two-week duration of the Games.

The penthouse at Three Harbour Green alone, within spitting distance to the International Broadcast Centre and nestled on the shores of Coal Harbour, sold for $22.3 million.

All seven suites, including several at the Wesbrook at the University of British Columbia, fetched $46.76 million.

A spokesperson for the developer said the warm weather helped showcase Vancouver's natural beauty and showcase it to the world.

"The Games brought an international flair and level of excitement to our city that, coupled with everything else we have to offer, made Vancouver extremely attractive," said George Wong.

3HG will have a Ferrari for resident use. Owners will be able to book the car for up to four hours at a time. There are no plans to limit how many bookings you can make in a year either. it'll depend on availability. the car is a 'gift' from the developer. at those prices, i can see why.

Aspec will also be holding a draw for residents for a trip on the new Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo. i think that's scheduled for next year.

Is it true that many suites in Jameson House were also purchased?

We're starting to sound like Dubai! Is this commonplace anywhere else in the world?

Let's all split on a unit, hold SSP parties, and drive around in a Ferrari

I am pleased to hear that. The change in elevation should look good.

wandered by yesterday, and it's looking like the ground floor is mostly done. fast work! should start rising pretty quickly from here out.

also - virgin galactic tickets and a ferrari, that's pretty insane. the coolness of that almost makes up for the horrid blight that was this site during the olympics.

^ Great update! Too bad you were over there on such a miserable day

I love how these shots contrast with the ones SpongeG posted in the Vancouver in the 1990s thread.

That area is soooo nice. I want to live there when I'm older. I bet I'd live longer.

Because I'd probably go outside once in awhile. And be really far from JapaDog.

It's beautiful... and I think it's great that all the Internationals purchase their, because if they knew we called it Cold Harbour... they might bid up False Creek North even further.
