^^Wait so is there potentially no glass parapet/core screen for the roof? I wonder if the glass is done because if that's the case, that core is taller than I was expecting (and slighly clumsy-looking). Hmmmmmm.

Here is another view of Optima's Core popping above the top of the building. I agree that it appears that the glass will not continue up in the same plane as the main building enclosure (like the Coast) and we will end up with some kind of setback screen wall. Hopefully it will end up being nice.

Cool shot of the trump too Harry. There is no doubt in my mind they will cover up the core with a decent material. Not even worried. This really turned out nice.

gotta agree the optima is a great addition to the chicago skyline. cant wait to see the glass after the windows are cleaned

Both renderings show only eight floors of glass above the cut, which is what we've got. Looks like no parapet.

Looks like they've finally cleaned the glass on this one and boy is it looking slick. I'd dare to say this is of a higher quality than anything we saw of this size during the boom.

The only thing that bothers me about this design is that weird section of glass around the lobby at the SW corner of the building. I really wish the black glass did not jog upwards where the arcade ends, but I'm willing to bet that was a VE issue. Does anyone know what the deal is with that weirdness? Seems like a very strange and abrupt disruption of the symmetry of this tower. What use is in that space that is so important that it justifies a complete rejection of the uniformity of the facade of this building?
