Calgary's Fifth Avenue Canyon! Here there be giants!

The Rockies in the background are a nice touch

I'm not sure what you mean. What is a tourist picture bar? Do you mean the +15 skywalk between The Bow and Telus Place?

You have to have a very liberal definition of "urban canyon" to include the bottom two shots of Toronto above.

Calgary's downtown reminds me a LOT of Houston's.

Only thing is that it might be questionable if one can actually see the Rockies looking down 5th Avenue SE from a vantage point just east of the TELUS Tower - my suspicions is all you're going to see is Broadcast Hill (Patterson Heights). I could be wrong though.

I specified mid-rise. They're pretty cool to see as well in my opinion - especially if it's fairly uniform like the Frederick St one.

Construction continues on Ottawa's 300 foot Rideau Street canyon of monotony.

Best of that set. This is an urban canyon, friends & neighbors.
