This was taken about 3 miles north of the Freeport Bridge. 621CM looks a bit taller
than the Wells Fargo Tower from this angle.

If we can fill that space between 500CM and 621CM and the space between 621CM and the Renaissance Tower our skyline would look completely full. At least from that angle anyway.

RIP Aura, that would of helped in that matter. Would The Metropolitian fill the other gap?

The Metropolitan would be to the right of CalEPA.

But yeah when you think about what could have been with 301CM and Aura...

What a shame..

I like the fact that the sklyine is filling in, but we have one of the most flat skylines... Or the lawnmower effect as Councilwoman Sandy Sheedy noted

BTW, wonderful photo Mike.

Agreed. Are you doing any touch ups afterward? This almost looks like HDR.

Thanks guys. I do spend a minute or two making minor adjustments but all
the full/rich colors are achieved with manual camera settings. This shot was
taken last Thursday night around 9pm after the sun had set. I opened
the shutter for about 2 seconds and had my F Stop set at 5.6. For me to
get this kind of blue color from the sky, I have to shoot about 5 minutes
before the sky becomes fully dark.

I haven’t done any HDR photos in over a year. Those shots take lots of time
on the computer editing afterwards, and I don’t have time for that right now.

I have a night set coming up soon.

Wow, you know what you are doing. I'm sure this has been asked before but what equiptment do you use for these. I'm learning with a Canon XTi and about to invest in better glass.

Yeah, good idea. I’ll put a link to my site at the bottom of the page for
external links, but I don’t understand how to put photos onto the main page.

Thank you, I've been years in the making. I use a Nikon D70. Lens are key,
you pay for what you get. Good luck and happy shooting Cynikal.

Can't be. Jst runs between those buildings. This has to be from the waterfall garage on I street and 10th. Keep in mind that youare looking at the back of the Elks building with the fire escape so it has to be fromt he north looking south.
