I was browsing thru different comps and came across a proposed project for Miami's Upper East Side. (Soleil 43 floors 514ft Residential --Approved)

US Bank Tower

Here's a link to a News10 video showing the rather unique lighting scheme on Sacramento's newest highrise, the US Bank Tower.

Groundbreaking marks start of Thunder Valley expansion
By Art Campos - acampos@sacbee.com
Last Updated 2:09 pm PDT Tuesday, July 15, 2008

The United Auburn Indian Community will break ground Wednesday at Thunder Valley Casino near Lincoln on an expansion project that will include construction of a 23-story hotel atop the current gaming facility.

Besides the planned five-star, 650-room hotel, the facility will include a convention center, ballrooms, more gaming space, restaurants, a spa, a lounge, a 3,000-seat performing arts center and a parking structure.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the south-entrance parking lot at the casino, 1212 Athens Ave.

Doug Elmets, a spokesman for the Indian tribe, which owns the casino, said in a news release that the expansion project will create about 1,000 construction jobs and 1,200 permanent jobs. Completion is set for July 2010, he said.

Analysts have estimated cost of the expansion to be $1 billion.

When completed, the project will generate $10.2 million in property tax, $900,000 in food and beverage taxes and $1 million in occupancy tax annually for Placer County.

If you have new proposals to add... please do so here. I'm not sure what's
new that has not already been posted here or in the Sacramento subforum.

How is that tower in Natomas coming along? I haven't been in Sac since last January and was wondering where it is in the construction process.

There's also a number of projects slated to start construction for 2012 in the central city. No highrises, but plenty of quality nonetheless.

I'll have to check some of these out on my drive up this weekend. Sutter Medical Center looks nice. I'm interested to see how that glass frittering looks like in person.

The new Sutter building looks fantastic, and seems much taller than the figures might indicate. Drove by it the other day on a nostalgic holiday jaunt through the area (I once lived at Capitol and 24th).

Satellite view on Google Maps was recently updated (October 2011) and shows the progress on site prep for the larger infill projects, especially Township 9 (showing grading of streets) just north of downtown.

Well it looks closer to becoming reality by the day, but hope the deal for a new arena in Sacramento comes to fruition. The city council is set to hear the matter tomorrow night.

New renderings released by the city and most recent articles from the Bee:

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Though I'd love to see the "new building" just east of 5th Street be much taller than 5-7 stories, and would like to see a better, more inviting pedestrian connection over the realigned rail platforms to the Historic Shop buildings, which I would assume will one day be redeveloped. Still, this arena plan is a great first step.
