So, here I am in San Marcos on a month-long road-trip vacation between Tuscaloosa and Las Vegas, and here is a thread showcasing Tuscaloosa, my home. You captured the campus area nicely.
Although the city is more of a place to live than to visit, for those who do visit, there are some "hidden gems" in the area, such as Moundville Archaeological Museum, the mostly-residential area around the lakes, Warner Museum of American art, and the Mercedes factory tour and visitor center.

Anyway, a lot of people know that Tuscaloosa was once Alabama's capital, but fewer might be familiar with the fact that the capital before that was located near Selma.

Of course, there's not much more that I can add about Savannah, as it is justifiably regarded as one of the most photogenic city centers in the southeast.

I think one of those Savannah pictures capture the recently redeveloped Ellis Square. Beautiful project that gave one of Savannah's lost squares back to it's residents and visitors.

On my last visit to Savannah, I stayed at the new Grand Bohemian Hotel (after having stayed at, and frequented, the Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando). It was a magical experience with the riverfront bar and decadent decor.

A triple hitter and a good one at that. Savannah is a beaut with many gems, I am also liking the rest! I hope the best for Tuscaloosa, a speedy recovery.

I've always thought Savannah seemed interesting. Is is true that it's a pretty wealthy little burg?

This made me go "Awwww" as in cute:

Awesome. Especially Savannah. Clearly European influences in the architecture of the old buildings. I hope to visit it one day.
