You're missing the point entirely. The walkups may be better than a bunch of mass-produced low-density rubbish, but they're
not better than the existing low-density housing currently on site. If construction was properly executed, and if they added shops or other streetfront features, I wouldn't mind so much. But they won't. They'll just be cheap, dreary, and inhuman rental units that destroy the streetscape. I may consider filing an objection against the development.
