Are they starting to put the metal facade on the Crystals? The metal "striping" looks similar to the rendering

Was more steel added to the top of the podium where the beach club is going to be? For the pedestrian bridge I'm guess the escalators will be inside the Cosmo, because I only see a stair case and framing for an elevator.

Looks like you're right. Which means the current lines have nothing to do with the final pattern.

Be sure to check out Vanishing STL's photostream. Great photos of CityCenter, Cosmopolitan and even photos of inside the CC sales pavillion (I'm guessing they are allowing photos now, don't see why not?)

The first span for the CC/Cosmo pedestrian bridge was put in place early this morning. Amazing how everything is coming together. Vdara's opening is just around the corner, a little over 5 months from now

That can't be the pedestrian bridge can it? It looks VERY big.

No, that's not the pedestrian bridge. That's the tram station that is being built behind Monte Carlo.... I think you got my post confused (two separate post).

Ah I see now. I wonder when we will see the people mover being tested for the first time? I wouldn't be surprised if it is one of the last things to open up.

Art installation has already begun. Nancy Rubins "Big Pleasure Point" can be seen near the Vdara porte cochere.

CityCenter construction page has been updated. I won't post all the pics because there's enough pics on this page. So follow the link if you want to see the rest. http://www.citycenter.com/vision/vis...struction.aspx

A good view of Tram and the fire station.

Random Question

Hi, So I live in Salt Lake but I commute out to West Wendover to work on the ambulace out there. Well there are rumors all over that town of 2 ,12 story tower coming in around 2012 and I can not find anything about it. I was wonder if any of you have seen or heard anything? If not no problems and sorry for talking about wendover in a Las vegas thread

What Else Can Go Wrong at Cosmo?

I never liked the sound of Denizen or 'Den'. Now those names will fade away and nobody will remember them in relation to the Cosmo.

One wouldn't think that Deutsche Bank would be too pleased by this turn of events. It will be costly and time consuming to undo what has been done.

It won't be easy to find and cut a suitable deal with a quality hotel operator, especially with every operator in the city in dire straits and the national economy extremely weak.

Things can't get any weirder. Can they?

So they can just make the Cosmopolitan the new Las Vegas Hilton. The old one's licensing agreement runs out about the same time.

Now that IS interesting. I would have never thought of that.
