Melbourne and Surroundings

I don't think I have ever posted my Melbourne photos in here so I will start with the older ones taken with my old camera (canon ixus 800) and then I will continue with the most recent ones.

It is a good thing you started, this is the MOST extensive look at Mlb I've seen to date. So much stuff just seems to have gone un-noted about Melbourne on SSP and NA/Euro in general, but it looks like a ultra cool city. Melbourne is the top city I want to visit in the Down Under, I'd skip Sydney and go on to Melbourne if I only could go to one city.

Awesome thread of awesome architecture, density, transit and street life. Loving all the cyclists, too.

See, Australian cities went thru the same post-WWII, post-industrial, suburban phase as American cities did, and yet they look terrific.

Great photos! I wish we saw more Melbourne around here. I've never been there but from what I gather from the photos, in terms of the city's design/architecture, it almost feels like a hybrid of English and American cities.

Amazing photos; truly beautiful! If I ever make it to Australia, I'll definitely want to see Melbourne for myself.
