Pop up park

Very interesting - I'd love to have heard that conversation between the organisers and the jerk who owns that lot.

Ontario pledges $545,000 to Supercrawl at Hamilton funding announcement

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/71...-announcement/

The province announced more than $19 million in funding for Ontario festivals and events in Hamilton Monday afternoon.

Three-day art and music festival Supercrawl, which is receiving almost $545,000, was the main draw for holding the announcement in Hamilton, said Burlington MPP and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Eleanor McMahon.

"These kinds of festivals put the city on the map," McMahon said following the announcement at Mills Hardware.

Tim Potocic, director of Supercrawl, said, this funding will help them lobby to get more money from sponsors and the municipality as well as grow the festival.

In total, the province is supporting 304 events and festivals through the Celebrate Ontario program in 2017 — six of which are in Hamilton.
