I don't mind the setbacks on the last one. It looks familiar. I think I've seen the same proposal marketed as Paintbox but I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, I really like this one too. Podium looks solid. This is a fresh proposal though, the first time it has hit the market. The "Paintbox" is a condo project that's part of the Regent Park redevelopment. But it is hard to keep track with so many projects going on right now, and most looking similar.

As Urbanation reported back in February of 2011, Lanterra purchased 600 The East Mall with an eye towards development.
Quote:
The proposal is for construction of three 24-storey apartment buildings, with a total of 1,120 condominium units. No word on architectural or design elements.

That is a GENIUS layout!... though first we need the TTC to have the money ... Maybe we'll see that happen in 25 years,

Thank You.

I think have Finch and Don Mills circulate creates a better movement of people.

imo, the TTC/subway going to the airport is the most important thing... something Toronto is REALLY missing from its transportation system. hopefully we'll see something like that within the next 10 years.

The old Four Seasons building has been bought by Camrost-Felcorp. It will be preserved and converted into condos. This puts an end to the previous twin 40-ish storey proposal. No news on whether there will be recladding or (base) remodelling yet.

Well, at least you're getting *a* rail connection to the airport. Most NA cities (and some global cities) don't even have that much.

Yes, I was shocked about that. Not even LA has one.

Not that that's saying much . Though we are getting one soon. Anyways, I was in Toronto last week. Lovely city, and I was blown away by the amount of construction. It's like Dubai, but people actually want to live in Toronto. What is the opening date for both the Four Season and the Shangri-La? The Four Seasons looked like it was almost topped out, but the Shangri-La still had a way to go. If I were to guess, I would say 2012 for the Four Seasons and 2013 for the Shangri-La. Am I close?

Yep sounds about right. Majority of the exterior for the Four Seasons should be done within this year, and should open in 2012. Trump will probably be complete and open next year as well. Shangri-La should be ready in 2013.
