Okay, so the colors are vivid, the details are crisp and good lord, it's a photo thread from Flash

But I gotta say - signage on the Koppers Building? Yes, I know it was approved a while ago but now that it's up there can't an architectural review board have a do-over? And I get what they're going for with the Gulf Building's lighting but it needs some lighting on the lower parts of the building - unless they're going for that psychedelic LED wedding cake look?

Wow. I think I need to look at this thread from the start, one more time.

Great shots! I was there last summer and didn't come close to capturing Pitt like you did! Well done sir!

Amazing stuff. I love the angle from the northside looking across the Roberto Clemente bridge. Urban layering. I love layered buildings.

I generally HATE the ubiquitous lettering all over Pittsburgh's skyline, but for some reason, the Koppers signage doesn't bother me all that much... maybe it's the greenish hue playing off the patina of the roof.

Not a fan of the Gulf Tower's color scheme at all. It looks ridiculous.

The link for this thread appeared on the SSP main page, and I clicked on it because I dig Pittsburgh. But as soon as the thread loaded and I saw the poster was Flash I got excited and almost wanted to not view any pics for a while; to save the experience somehow. Of course I caved and went through all the pictures right away. Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but Flash is one of my favorite members of this site, and I've probably browsed every thread he's offered us.

This cat finds the best angles and vantage points from which to shoot a city, and seems to always capture the greatest of density and breadth in any given city he's in. Cities shine their brightest in threads like this.

Thanks, as always, for the stellar shots.

Flash is incapable of posting a thread that isn't jaw-dropping. Easily one of the best photographers on this forum!
