25 games for that is shocking. There are very similar hits (Neal) that went completely unpunished in comparison! But he can almost score 40 goals, so

I certainly don't like Raffi Torres or the Coyotes, but, come on now. NHL suspensions are way too inconsistent.

Well, I still think Neal's first hit was unintentional (I think he was trying to jump around the guy and head after the puck), but yeah, there's no consistency here.

This league is a joke. No consistency in the way it is run. The officiating and disciplinary body needs to be revamped from top to bottom. Get rid of the old boys club mentality already.

Did anyone see Chars acting job? Biggest and baddest pussy in the league.

I still remember when AK sent him flying into the boards after a little shove.

I really can't even watch that series, it's by *FAR* the most painfully boring hockey I've ever seen.

Hopefully one of them puts us out of our misery tomorrow.

*well, as I say this I switch over to CBC and see the Bruins score 2 fast goals*

Well, at least the Habs knew they could start warming up the course in December.

Thomas was clearly awful. Rask should start in net tomorrow. Back to backs in the playoffs are kind of stupid, afternoon back to backs are disgraceful.

From what I've seen the Bruins are being horribly out coached. Julien is coaching the team like he is scared of the Capitals, as if the Bruins are the lower seed, line matching to save their lives. If they played the real Bruins style of hockey (which inarguably, they are not) they should be able to beat the Capitals with relative ease.

But really, what an awful series so far. If the NHL had the Razzies this would win.

Torres got the Cooke treatment which is fine by me...

Cooke changed the way he plays after his suspension so maybe Torres will do the same? The NHL got the suspension right this time.

Haha, great!!! When are people going to start realizing that Boston is not that good of a team? Are they a top 10 team in the league? Sure. Are they a top 5 team? Absolutely not!

103 pts last year, 102 this year. They got lucky last season but they won't this time. When was the last time a team played against such poor goaltending in the playoffs... Boucher in the second round, 41 years old Roloson in the third and choker Luongo in the fourth.
They really struggle against good goalies.

No doctor Recchi, no Ryder, Chara and Thomas getting old. Even though Tyler Seguin has been a heck of player for them this season, they are not better than last year.

BTW- Rask is still injured so their backup is Khudobin.

Well, they're not even giving the Capitals any fight. There's so little animosity in this boring series between the two teams that they'll be handing out "Good luck!" cards at the final handshake. It goes back to being out coached. Julien is letting the Capitals decide who is on the ice at all times, and what style of game will be played at all times.

Actually I think Dale Hunter is an idiot trying to put Ovechkin on the ice against Chara and Seidenberg.

The 2 teams I cheer for are the two first teams to have their ticket to the second round.

BTW-The Senators are impressive.

The Sens going deep would be nice. I don't actually know of anybody who cares about them, so, it would be one of the least annoying circumstances possible.

Prediction: Phoenix OT win? Chicago's goal wasn't as late tonight though, so maybe the norm is taking a break tonight.

It's pretty clear that the league is punishing Torres for the kind of player he is... Or rather the way he plays as opposed to that specific hit. Had that hit come from another player without the Torres reputation, the outcome would have been different.

Some would call that a double standard. I would call it trying to send a message to players, teams and coaches about what kind of playing style is acceptable.

At least that's my take.

12? My guide says 4:30 in Newfoundland, so 3 Eastern.

Edit: Well, NHL says it is noon. I guess my guide's off. Thank you then, I might have missed it if you didn't say anything!
