Sequoia National Park, California

Now since I'm getting faster at making photo threads, how about some from Sequoia National Park, home of the Giant Sequoias, the largest trees by weight on Earth!

Let me know what you think!

Beautiful. These, like their cousins the Coast Redwoods, need to be seen in person to appreciate how massive they actually are.

Yes, very much so, peanut gallery! You truly can't appreciate the enormous size of these trees without being there and realizing that the base of the tree trunks can be nearly 30 feet across with a circumference of more than 100 feet!

Giant Sequoias, Coast Redwoods, two unbelievably gigantic living things, no doubt about it!

I was there last in 1975 when I was only 15 and didn't really appreciate the beauty of the place. (15 year olds don't appreciate anything, do they?)
I would love to go back and spend some time there and really SEE it for the first time......again.
Thanks much for the beautiful photos.
(somewhere at my folks house they have a picture of me and my siblings sitting on that General Sherman sign. With my long hair and denim jacket, I was really trying way too hard to look as cool as a teen could look while on vacation with his family)

Sequoia, Shalonda, Shaquita, whatever. A bunch of damn trees. If I wanted that, I'd go to the IKEA parking lot. I hate you, nature, I hate you and your damn bugs!!!

But this thread is nice.
