I guess I can post this here, since some of them are being built near MRT stations.

Taipei's new parking towers:

I have observed that there are a lot of new parking towers being built in the past 2 years.

2006(near one of Neihu's MRT stations):

2007: (not in the same location as above)

Good! Taipei's vehicular traffic is getting more and more congested. Hope more people will lay down their cars and take the train.

1~8 It is actually Neihu's "city centre"(started booming 20 years ago)

3~8 I was suprised that Neihu Station is small, since it is located in the center of Neihu, where most ppl live.

12~16 Dahu Park area

16~18 Look at the curve... Also, that area is pretty new with some pretty nice new apartments just like Neihu's other newer districts.

I passed by Jian-Nan Station(next to Miramar) the other day. The station is huge. Too bad I didn't get a chance to take some photos.

I am not an expert, but I think that's because the section has a 90 degree turn, and it is at the intersection of 2 roads, so the rail must be longer than usual among the columns. The larger steal structure is needed to support this kind of extended portion of the rail. We can see that degsin in Muzha line's intersection sections.

The actual station structures have not been built(they will be in the middle of the road of course). Only the large steel column are inserted and the "exits" of the stations on the 2 sides of the road have been built. (ps. I heard that at least for Neihu Station, originally they just wanted to build 1 exit on 1 side, but of course local ppl complain, so a small exit is later planned to be built on the other side. Neihu Line is actually the extension of Muzha line, so if you have taken MRT on Muzha line, you will find that some of the stations only have an exit on the 1 side of the road, which is very inconvinient)

The photo that Razqal shows is when the rail is starting to climb up a slope. Not sure if that's the reason.

I said Jiannan station was huge(especially the exit). I just checked and realized that 3 lines(2 planed) will meet at the station in the future....no wonder.
