Great photos of Detroit. It's too bad the Hudson's department store building doesn't exist anymore:

Beautiful!!!!

By the way, how is Palmer Park doing these days? Such a well-built urban neighborhood. Also, I just remembered that there used to be a mini trolley line in downtown Detroit. I even rode it the first time I visited.

In case you'd still be doubtful, there's not a single chance for these pre-war skrapers to remain vacant for long yet.
Obviously. lol

Indeed that is the Skybar on the 33rd floor of the David Stott tower... some of the best views of the city are found for free up there!

The Renaissance Center added the LED bands in 2011... color displays are constant.. for example. during Tigers games the bands turn orange and blue and the GM logo up top turns into an old English D.

Legitimately, better than it's been in many years. There are quite a number of renovations going on. In fact, it's probably one of the untold stories since downtown and Midtown get most of the news. Even the park, itself, is getting attention.

Great shots. Nice to see the side of Detroit that the media doesn't show!

For all its' issues, Detroit has a grandeur that most American cities lack. It was obviously built to be great, back when we knew how to do that.

Wait so, I can get a free coffee with my purchase of an abandoned building?
Good to see Detroit's kept a sense humour.
