To Nashville
Hal Gill
5th round pick in 2013 (if Geoffrion plays 40 games next year)

To Montreal
2th round pick in 2012
Blake Geoffrion
Robert Slaney

Great return for Hal Gill. The second round pick is nice and Geoffrion might become a great third liner. He's 6'1 so we keep adding size up front.

He scored 6 goals in 20 games last season so that's nice but Slaney is probably a career AHLer, but who cares.

And we're finally piling up second rounders...we've had some success with the last few picks.

Our last second round picks
2008: Danny Kristo (good prospect, might make the NHL)
2007: PK Subban
2006: Ben Maxwell (4th liner at best)
2006: Mathieu Carle (played 3 games with the Habs)
2005: Guillaume Latendresse (great player, too bad injuries affected him)

Why someone would trade 3 prospects for Gill is a bit puzzling.

Is he supposed to replace Suter / Weber who are on their way out, most likely?

I think Montreal's average height went down about 2 feet.

Robert Slaney was the nothing prospect we traded along with Brett freaking Lebda for Lombardi and Franson.

Scott Gomez scores his second goal of the year and we win a shootout... is this real life?

Kaberle scores
Campoli scores
Price stops all shooters in the SO
All our shooters scored in the SO

Yea... the end of the world is coming!!!

Cole-Desharnais-Pacioretty-Subban-Kaberle with the shift of the year on the PP last night.

Video Link

Since being put together, all 3 forwards on that line have maintained close to a PPG pace.

Holy crap. I need Mark Donnelly's diet plan. He looks like he lost a few... people!

This is like when Drew Carey became un-fat. You just never expect it!

And yes, this is the first Canucks game I've watched this season~

^^ Who's "we" ?

The Leafs will lose and hopefully miss the playoffs to build a proper D. Although I am biased and believe the offence will soon be the best in the league hands down.

Toronto not having any D is stunningly obvious right now.

Don't you think we've missed enough? It's too early for me to want them to lose to build a better team. Anyway how often has that helped them in the past?

Vancouver's D has been stellar tonight. It's the reason for the club's success vs. younger and faster teams like the Leafs. I don't know how Luongo got that juicy rebound from kessel. Or was it Malhotra's stick check? Serious respect.

Yay! Keep stacking the team with young fast skating picks.

I'll seriously buy everyone a drink if Gomez hoists the cup LOL
