BUFFALO | St Ann's Church

This is a spectacular place that has to be seen to be believed. It is one of many like it making up a dense collection of spectacular religious buildings in Buffalo.

This one is scheduled to close.

What a gorgeous church. It looks straight out of Europe.

Impressive. Buffalo has quite a lot of architecturally stunning churches. Also, it looks like it's a Catholic denomination since Catholic churches usually have very ornate interiors imo.
“Most planning of the past fifteen years has been based upon three destructive fallacies: the cataclysmic insists upon tearing everything down in order to design from an absolutely clean slate; the automotive would plan for the free passage of the automobile at the expense of all other values; the suburban dislikes the city anyway and would just as soon destroy its density and strew it across the countryside.” Vince Scully

i actually saw this church in november and was wondering why it was all boarded up, but after spending 3 days in buffalo the sight became fairly normal to me this actually looks very similar to the catholic church of the immaculate conception in jax fl, especially on the interior. here are some pics of that
