HOUSTON - Spring Cleaning in the Dirty South

Its been way too long since I posted a thread so I thought I would get it together and post up some new work I have. Some of this is left overs from 2011 and some is new from a photocrawl me and jfre81 had recently. Ending with a brief stop at Photolith's crib in downtown.

Enjoy!

Farewell Jermey's XT! YOu will be missed! lol

This image is brought to you care of Photolith balcony. Swank view!

Some Bonus shots!

One for LYSD. SPIDERS!!!!!

Solid set. The photo of the Sam Houston statue is one of my favorites. Nice people shots too.

Nice shots and great variety. Somehow you seem to get portraits of people that look like people I see every day. They aren't but you do a god job capturing the "ordinary-ness" of people.

Read this....

Zeltsman Apporach to Traditional Classic Portraiture

I have recently come upon this tutorial but it outlined many things that have taken me years to understand. This man was a studio photographer for the most part but his theory can be utilized in a lot of situations.

Man that photolith guy has an awesome view.

Sweet pictures man, I need to also get around to posting a photo thread at some point, it's been like 2 months. I really like the photo of the county courthouse. That house in your fourth picture down is a real good place to chill when drunk.

These parking lots are just asking to bite the dust. Big potential for that intersection with the LRT.

nice work man. the first 'extra' from lith's balcony is the tits. i like the sam houston shot too.

i wrote a song (or maybe a poem) called "girls in skirts on bikes" years ago. i'd like to record it some time, because i sing it every spring and summer.
