This picture gives a good perspective on how the sidewalk will integrate with the Terminal

Give me some skin...

In a neighborhood of nothing but reflective glass,
the perforated metal draws a nice contrast.

agree that this will add some nice visual texture to the neighborhood. was trying to get some of that feel in this shot. especially once SF Tower's cladding is up, there's gonna be a nice collage from this vantage point

This reminds me of SFO. I hope that HSR and CalTrain can make it in ASAP. And some sort of Bart/ MUNI underground walkway to Market would be a nice touch.

Funding blocked for transit center amid concerns of sinking Millennium Tower

"The San Francisco County Transportation Authority Commission, on which serve the 11 members of the Board of Supervisors, voted 7 to 3 to not release the $6.8 million in funding to pay for design work of the second phase of the Transbay Transit Center."

Fiscal prudence has to come first, especially until it's becomes more clear if they bear any responsibility for the Millennium Tower debacle.

The cable-stayed bridge guiding future buses into the now delayed Transbay Terminal is starting to resemble its final configuration.

Well, it's more a liability issue: the city doesn't want to be on the hook for any costs incurred to fix issues with the Millennium Tower. They're withholding funding (something they can do after agreeing to a loan for the terminal) until investigations are done to satisfy the city that future work won't make things worse.

Not really a big deal.

Also, for what it's worth, the Millennium Tower group's argument doesn't seem like a sound one, legally. Particularly, if work on Transbay was conducted as would be expected. The onus seems on the former to explain why they constructed the tower's foundations the way they did - and why the city allowed them to.

So they came up with the money for the rooftop park. For a while there they were saying they had no money for it and I never read they got any even though I predicted Benioff or somebody would come across.

And yeah, the gaps in the screens look kind of bad.
