Given the vantage point, probably northwest.

It's actually on the southwest corner. There are more schematic renderings in the link below.

How much will it cost to live in one of those? Aren't those the "affordable" condos?

I don't know if y'all saw them or not, but there are three other renderings of Capital Studios on that website.

It looks like it has a lot of character. It's going to add a lot to the city. Just goes to show that affordable housing can be just as cool as regular housing, if not cooler. We need more of this.

The Crest at Pearl U/C

This is what's being constructed at Pearl St. & MLK JR. Blvd, right across from KVUE.

Here are some larger image sizes of the Shoal Creek Walk renderings. It's definitely 24 floors.

That's the roof line of The Monarch to the far left. This rendering makes Shoal Creek Walk appear roughly the same height as The Monarch. The Monarch is 323 feet tall.

Spring is 427 feet tall. So Shoal Creek Walk is shorter than that, but well over 200 feet since Austin City Lofts, (to the right of the red triangle), is 180 feet tall. I would estimate it's between 300 to 320 feet tall.

Wow, I really like this. And it has affordable housing, too. Very nice.

Yes.... It shows a lot can be done with cost conscience materials and a lot more imagination. ! ( see renderings for "The Crest at Peal" for example of less imagination )

Its across from KXAN, not KVUE. KVUE's studio is up north.

Looks like a building to me, not the entirety of some other city. Thanks for the non-sequitur.

Syndic posted the link to the city planning commission's public hearing for the project.

Here's the link. It's item C12 on the list.

Kevin. Thanks for the re-post on the commision meeting for "Shoal Creek Walk". I watched the whole thing.

Jeff Jack is indeed an idiot. But somehow voted for the adjustment that was being asked for in this meeting. I would have sworn he would have voted against it by the questions he was asking. Total dick.

The development has certainly been thru the ringer between thier own stalls and the changes in the city flood plain restrictions. I am surprised ( but happy) they are still trying to get this built. The entire site is in the 100 year flood plain! Sounds like some interesting developing they are doing to make this work.

It's not condos. It's 135 efficiency apartments for single people making less than $27,000 per year.
