Just drove by the site today and notice that the base of the crane is in place on the southern portion of the Anthem tower. So hopefully by this coming Monday, we'll have another blue crane on the midtown skyline.

Isn't it about time Anthem has its own thread???

CODA looks lots better going up than I thought it would and I love the relationship between these 2 and the sidewalk's 'setbacks' being the same.

This area is going to feel completely different once these projects complete, that's for sure!

This is the Anthem thread since the second tower is more long-term. The title just needs to be changed which only a MOD can do.

Drove by the Anthem site yesterday. Concrete pillars outline the base of the building already.
This one seems to be moving along quite nicely, which I'm sure will delight our dear friend Bigstick!

First Look: Anthem internal

Quote:
Anthem's new building will include a fitness center, cafe, tech bar and outdoor terraces. It will have more than 500 parking spaces, two-story atrium spaces with interconnecting communication stairs, a mezzanine floor and casual "hangout" spaces on every floor.

The pillows on those stairs is... weird. In any case, I'm excited about this one! Thanks for sharing those images.

I visited Publix yesterday and decided to walk around and get the feel of the area around 4 p.m. The area was abuzz with pedestrian traffic and the Midtown MARTA station was as busy as Lindbergh station. By the way, the art installation doesn't look so bad in person.

I walked along West Peachtree towards 3rd street and back down Spring street. This area is starting to take on the characteristics of a truly urban downtown.
All the new development under construction and proposed will only add to the vibrancy.

Tech just started back and that adds a lot to the activity, so you picked a good week

It's a world of difference from what it was a few years ago.

Garbage quality since it's from a dash cam, but this is pretty typical of that area lately:

I was driving through there today and noticing just how much the Cheetah sticks out now, being so density, and still a lot of parking lot. If they were smart they'd lease the lot out for development of residential high-rise and negotiate the top two floors for their restaurant and a strip-club with views.

The strip club already has views. They don't want patrons looking at a skyline. No tip money in that.

Nice subtle Amazon reference in that photo. Is it a clue? Should we start typing in all caps with color font?

I've been curious to see how these would look. Rendering

Anthem Tower parking panels being installed. These panels are 4’x10’ tall, perforated along with 1’ gaps between the panels to allow fresh air into the parking deck.
