Why don't they install the glass as the floors rise? The majority of the building could be covered in glass by now.

Because the glass pretty much just started.

By the way, I am adoring the glass on this so far! It's an amazing shade of blue and looks high quality unlike some recent Chicago builds.

^^ agreed. This is one of my favorite projects in the city to watch at the moment, and in such a prominent location (followed by River Point). I wish this could be another 20 stories higher when completed though.

Why wouldn't they be tacking on an additional 10-20 stories in the end? If it has the zoning approval already and the foundation was drilled for a super-tall, seems the difficult part is done. I suppose there's the issue of enough space for elevators. That must be it?

Otherwise seems the marginal cost of additional height -- the most premium of units -- would far outweigh the market risk at this point.

Ontario is so messed up. I can't wait until they repair it correctly.

True, the N-S street is Clark, but I meant Hubbard (E-W), not Ontario. Not sure what I was thinking.

The original design could probably handle the added 10-20 floors, but they went back and totally redesigned from the top of the garage up. The new design might not be able to carry the added floors.

^ Hydro, that feels kinda scrunchy. Has the lens, or cropping or something, compressed the image vertically?

Was that the reason for the bowed floorplates?? I did not realize that.
