This is part of what is planned, in case you missed it. An 840 feet tall building is now planned to go next to the Four Seasons, and BFC II is planned at 903 feet tall on the north end of the Brickell Financial District in addition to these two projects. They are still saying they are going to build Met3 at some point. The construction company for Met2 said work was scheduled to start on at least the foundation and parking garage for Met3 as soon as Met2 is completed.

^ Check the skybar for the "Big Announcement".
It's laugh out loud funny and doesn't really have anything to do with Miami.

^ Wouldn't hold your breath on this one. It is pretty nice, though.

well this project has the land already assembled however I don't know it's current status. This would go up just west of the Biscayne boulevard wall of the new skyscrapers recently built and would absolutely transform the entire area.Right now it's just lowrise warehouses and parking lots.

Miami World Center is the first encouraging, urban district plans we've seen for downtown Miami. This type of development is exactly what is needed to encourage pedestrianization; mixed use, mid and high rise structures that mesh seamlessly together with plazas and street level activity.

I hope it does come to be, though it's looking a bit discouraging right now.

I'd love to see this happen. Miami needs a real urban center like this in its downtown core in order to become a legitimate world-class city. Watching Miami's urban transformation and seeing these plans for a massive development project in this long-neglected area are exciting. One thing though... Biscayne Blvd. needs to be tamed... don't let it turn into another Lakeshore Dr. like Chicago has separating the downtown from the waterfront. This is very important as downtown Miami development moves forward.
