Chicago BLACKHAWKS Photos!

This is an open thread for anyone that took photos in Chicago during the 2010 or 2013 Stanley Cup celebrations. Please feel free to contribute! Especially when the big parade and rally happen this Friday!

2010

2013
The ease of smartphone cameras 3 years later has made it easier to take terrible photography, so I make up with this panoramic.

Cleaned up the other iphone shots with some photoshop

I got back home around midnight, but drank a couple beers until the noise settled down and I could go to bed. Snapped this night photo

The parade route and rally will be in Grant Park this year, not on Michigan ave at the bridge. Kind of unfortunate since it was a more interesting spot. Good for me personally though since my office has since moved down the street and I'll still be able to catch a view from above but further away. Don't know what to expect on the ground and I'm kind of edgy about bringing an expensive DSLR into large rowdy crowds.

Anyways, share your photos! Chicago only please!

Channel 5 decided to show the post-game excitement at the corner of Clark and Addison (which, I believe, is the home of another Chicago team, not the Blackhawks) and completely ignored Rush and Divison......which makes no sense. I'm glad you decided to cover it for us.

I've heard alot of people say some of the images down the city canyons remind them of the historic photos of soldiers coming home from the war.

At my job most major deadlines wrapped up early Friday morning. So it was nice to celebrate double wrapping up all the work and heading outside. Everyone in our office wore Hawks shirts and jerseys

2013 Celebration

well, sterlippo1, one of the nicest things i saw coming out of the Blackhawks' winning the cup was the ad that the Wirtz family took out in the Boston Globe, complimenting Boston, the Bruin organization, and the Bruin fans as being class around and how much the entire Hawk organization appreciated the treatment both team and fans received in your truly great city.

Nice to have had the the Stanley Cup finals between two great, classy cities.

Hayward, absolutely loved your first shot of the Blackhawk crowd in Grant Park all decked out in red with the incredible green of the Museum Campus in back. And that stretch of lakefront you got in on that one was way, way over the top....must have been well past Gary, who knows, maybe Michigan City, or even New Buffalo. Coooooooooooool
