Photo Contest #59 - church [voting]

Spectacular turnout everyone. It is definitely going to take me a few looks through to pick my choice. I hope I got everything right here.

Oh my, this was tough.

I like the grit in #2, the motif in #5, the symbolism in #6, the colors and the building in #7, the reflection on the wall in #8, the craziness in #11, the light and composition in #13, the signs in #15, the contrast in #16 and the colors in #19. I think I'll go for #7 or #13 but I haven't decided yet.

I would have chosen 7 if only something more was happening in the sky, but you can't really help that. So, I chose #2.

Hahaha maybe.
A flock of birds, or a raincloud would have made it almost perfect though, no?

Very hard choice. Easily the most difficult pick yet. Even if there were half the entries we had it still would have been very hard. All good entries. There was at least 13 that I considered, and narrowed it to 4. I ended up going with number 3. Very close, though. Some of the others were favorites of mine for their creativity, composition and interesting views.

^Yes. The winner picks the next round. I usually give people a week rounding up a bit after the winner chooses and voting lasts a week so there's a new round to enter about every 15 or 16 days. The next one should be announced on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

#12 for me. Wonderful composition and technically the most difficult exposure. Very, very well done.

I had a photo that I should have entered. I'm always so critical of mine, though and rarely think of them as worthy of being in the contest.

Alot of nice images, but 15 really caught my eye. Not surprising, since it's so close to my own aestetic.

Good job all.

Wow! That's the most entries I've seen in a long time.
I'm going to have to think about this one.

I thought long and hard and went with number 2. I really really liked a lot of them and I'm surprised a few of them like 5 haven't received a vote yet. It just had so many messages and meanings to me.

I didn't want to participate this competition anyway, I always get the feeling that my pictures aren't good enough for competitions and always have that sick feeling of loosing. So far I haven't entered in any contests at all. Call me sick if you like.

Here are my two pics that relates to the subject.

Also, you people have the nicest churches around, here in Singapore we don't have much to shoot for, (all of those huge Romanesque or Gothic Cathedrals you have) and well, certain photography isn't allowed in churches here. And most of the churches are all renovated with modern finishes which I hate it.
