I used to live on the west side of Queen Anne Hill so I've spent alot of time in Ballard. It's like a small town located in the middle of big city. I haven't been there in quite some time so I enjoyed those photos. Thanks.

I think he was more referring to the lack of pedestrian activity, which was surprising in these pictures. I used to live in Fremont and would frequently visit Ballard, and I remember alot more street activity.

Ballard is like a fishing village inside of an even bigger fishing village. Anyhow, the crown jewel of suburban stripped 15th Avenue NW is the Ballard Market. Anyone ever shop there? They carry an amazing variety of products.

The Ballard Market is great. I live in Wallingford but that's where we go for our big shopping trips.

You forgot to read the preamble....the shots were taken on Christmas Day. Not many folks walking the streets on big holidays...
