My God your photos are beautiful.

I have a few questions though.
First, how bad is the bust in Shanghai? Or is it even still occurring?
Second, is Shenzhen still growing rapidly or has it's pace subdued? I have a National Geographic from '97 that I read religiously, and back then it was the fastest growing city in the world.
Third... not really a question, but now that you're back in Europe, you should do a Euro tour. I would fucking love to see that from your perspective.

Thanks!

Wisla,
Howbad is the bust? What's the "bust"?

Shenzhen still belongs to the fastest growing cities in the world, I'm not sure if it's the fastest growing city at the moment though.
Officially, Chongqing is the fastest growing city - it adds around 800.000 people a year. But then again, sources claim that Shanghai adds between 1-3 million people a year unofficially, so it's really hard to judge.

Actually I went to Paris and Barcelona in July, and I have some pretty fresh Stockholm and Copenhagen photos lying around as well. Too lazy to post them right now though.

Staff, this is easily one of the best threads I've seen on here for a long long time. A lot of us take photos of cities, but few of us have perfected it as an art as you have. Thank you for sharing!

Well it's just I read somewhere a few months ago that the construction boom bubble in Shanghai had burst. I found it hard to believe. But thanks for answering my question, now I know that CNN is full of it.

Wow, so this old piece of crap was waken up eh?

Thanks for all the comments! It is certainly rare that my photo threads reach three pages.

Kingofthehill,
Yes, but it's not like I run a business or so. I just sell a photo (or a set of photos) here and there to magazines and book publishers.

Thanks again.

WOW, all photos are great. If there was a contest your Megacity Shanghai photo would win awards.
