The city is building these platforms at the ends of the waterfront boat slips and bridges at the front to improve the waterfront's access and connectivity. This is probably the most extreme of the proposed wave patterns.

Ok its not quite as high as I thought it was going to be, I was picturing a slab that long of about 30 stories or so... PoMo commie block if you will. Still massive nevertheless.
