This article is from 2011. I'm wondering if there have been any recent changes.

This project was killed when WDCL terminated the agreement with Centennial. This thread should be changed to "Abandoned".

The new tender was for the Cunard Block (link below). WDCL is overdue for an update on that tender. They're a few months behind the timeline that they originally proposed.

So much for this site. CBC reports that the WDC is planning to relocate the "Vendor Village" at Queen's Marque to here and revamp it. Sounds kind of permanent.

I think the lot mentioned for the relocation for the Vendor Village is the lot surrounding the Waterfront Warehouse, north of Salter Street, and the lot for the Salter Street Block is the lot south of Salter.

Ah, okay. Just pulled up Google maps. I think you're right.

Why does this thread say "Approved"? Shouldn't it say "Cancelled"?

The notion of defunct waterfront projects came up in the Cunard thread, which isn't actually dead.

The old proposals in here are dead but there's a rumour that this site is being considered for something new, a combined art gallery and NSCAD campus (only a few years after they built the seaport campus?). Certainly has the potential to be a new landmark in the city.
